This could be an expensive option however and you may not be able to afford such a thing. Why not ask a budding fashion student if she would be willing to flex her creative muscles and design an original for you? You can scour the racks at your local thrift stores and consignment stores for a vintage prom dress, which is guaranteed to be original as well.

There are some prom dress manufactures that only create a limited number of gowns in certain styles. If you get a hold of one of these dresses, the chance that you have a unique prom dress will be much greater. If it is possible, shop for your gown in a neighboring town to increase the odds that you will have a dress that is different from your classmates. A unique prom dress is important, but remember to be true to yourself and find something that suits your personal style as well.
